Palos: The Eel


Palos is a Philippine primetime action and drama television string of ABS-CBN. The series debuted on January 28, 2008, as component of the network's Primetime Bida assemble.

The series is based on the archetypal Filipino caricatures and film quality of the equivalent name "Palos", which means "Eel" in Tagalog. In the original comics, Palos was a proficient burglar who possessed acrobatic skills, and who was adroit in the warfare arts.

The chronicle begins when Giancarlo is orphaned at a juvenile age when his mother, Grazella, is killed in a gunfire occurrence in Macau. He censures his mother's death on an agent known only as "Palos", and be determined to do whatever it takes to retaliate her death.

The young urchin is taken in by his mother's friend, Alessandro, who later helps him fasten together with a top secret agency known as "Neptune". The young Giancarlo, single-minded by his thirst for reprisal, trains hard and uses every prospect to sharpen up his skills. Eventually, he emerges as one of the top agents of Neptune, and feels he is geared up to fulfill his life's mission: get even his mother's murder.

But in his chase to find Palos, Giancarlo finds long-buried secrets... secrets about his mother's death, about Neptune, and about his own individuality.
